PlantIQ Platform

A contextual operating model of the plant.

PlantIQ is a reusable operational-intelligence layer, not a collection of disconnected dashboards. It connects the systems you already have, models the real plant, and turns live and historical data into decision-ready views, calculations, findings, and action workflows.

The PlantIQ Operational Model connects signals to the real plant: assets, processes, products, events, KPIs, and actions, so every dashboard and recommendation has context.

Why it exists

One operational layer for brownfield plants

Brownfield plants do not need another system that ignores the controls, historians, and production records already in place.

They need one operational layer that can support visibility, compliance records, loss, utilities, reliability, and electrical-asset decisions on the same plant model.

Layered architecture

Source → Context → Intelligence → Experience → Action

One coherent stack from plant signals to decisions, without replacing controls.

1

Source

Connect to the systems the plant already runs.

  • PLC and SCADA tags
  • Historians and time-series stores
  • Utility meters and electrical measurements
  • Production counts, batches, and events
  • Optional ERP, MES, and CMMS context

Start with the systems already running the plant

PlantIQ connects to PLCs, SCADA, historians, meters, production/MES/ERP context, and customer fact tables through approved architectures.

The default posture is decision support on top of existing controls, not rip-and-replace.

Operational Model / ontology

Every useful industrial signal eventually needs a home in the real plant: which site, area, line, process, asset, product, batch, event, KPI, and action it belongs to.

That contextual model is what keeps solution applications coherent as the plant expands from one decision to many.

  • Reusable plant objects instead of one-off dashboard projects
  • Shared definitions for KPIs, limits, and baselines
  • Traceability from signal to decision

Live and historical data foundation

Operators, managers, and specialists need both current state and explainable history.

PlantIQ provides live views, timelines, trends, and event chronology tied to the operational model so investigations do not restart from raw tag lists.

Reusable calculations, events, baselines, and rules

Solution value depends on agreed logic: intensity, yield, operating envelopes, repeated trips, and other calculations that finance and operations can review.

Rules and baselines are configurable and auditable. Advanced models are used only where data volume, quality, labels, and validation justify them.

Role-based applications

Executives, operations, maintenance, utilities, and finance need different compositions of the same underlying truth.

PlantIQ applications are role-aware views and workflows on one platform, not separate products with conflicting definitions.

Action and recommendation workflow

Findings become useful when they carry evidence, recommended checks, ownership, priority, status, and verification.

Optional Expert-Enabled Managed Intelligence adds scheduled specialist review while leaving operating authority with the plant.

Deployment

Deployment and architecture

CloudHybridHosted in your environment
  • Read-only default connectivity where appropriate
  • Scoped access by role, site, system, or asset
  • Customer ownership of plant data and operating decisions
  • Integration through PlantIQ or qualified local partners
  • No implied replacement of safety or control systems

Security principles

Decision support with disciplined access

Security posture is agreed with the customer. PlantIQ does not imply unsupported cybersecurity guarantees.

  • Least-privilege access and role-based views
  • Agreed network architecture for OT connectivity
  • Auditability of access, recommendations, decisions, and outcomes
  • No unsupported cybersecurity guarantees
  • Customer permission required before any cross-customer data use or aggregation

Layers at a glance

1

Source layer

Connect the systems and records the plant already trusts.

2

Context layer

Model the physical and operational reality of the plant.

3

Intelligence layer

Calculate, compare, and package evidence for decisions.

4

Experience layer

Present the right context to each operating role.

5

Action layer

Move from finding to verified outcome without losing the evidence trail.
